What is CALQIT?

CALQIT is software that implements the main consequence simulation models currently accepted for conducting Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) of processes. This software is a proprietary development by ISP Ingeniería y Seguridad de Procesos S.A.

The phenomena that can be simulated include:

Source models for gas, liquid, and liquefied gases (LPG, chlorine, ammonia, etc.)
Dynamic release models for gas, liquid, and liquefied gases
Dense gas cloud dispersion
Floating cloud dispersion
Liquid dispersion on the ground
Pool fire (solid flame model)
Jet fire (point source and solid flame models)
Gas cloud explosions (TNT equivalent and Multi-Energy models)
BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion – dynamic and static models)
Condensed explosives
Flare calculations according to API 521

Each CALQIT scenario is defined for all types of equipment, failure types, and meteorological conditions of the analyzed site.

It allows determining:

The effect of any phenomenon at a specific point.

The distance at which a given effect or damage occurs.

The effect profile (e.g., radiation as a function of distance).

Iso-effect contours on the plant layout.

Extent of consequences for export to the SERIS risk evaluation program.

All ASILopa reports are editable and generated in Microsoft Word, supporting versions Word 2003 / 2007 / 2010 / 2013 (32-bit).
